The Physical Training (PT) Teacher is responsible for promoting students' physical fitness, health, and overall well-being through structured physical education programs. The teacher plans and conducts engaging sports and fitness activities, encourages teamwork and discipline, and ensures a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach a variety of sports, games, fitness exercises, and physical activities.
- Assess students' physical fitness, participation, and skill development.
- Encourage healthy lifestyles, teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline.
- Organize and supervise sports events, competitions, annual sports days, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure the safety of students during all physical activities by following established safety procedures.
- Maintain and inspect sports equipment and facilities,
reporting any maintenance needs.
- Identify and nurture students with athletic potential for inter-school and regional competitions.
- Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to support students' overall development.
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and reports related to physical education activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Master's degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid teaching certification or license, if required by local regulations.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
