About the Role
We're looking for a senior Node.js developer with solid OOP fundamentals to join a highly collaborative tech team maintaining and scaling a suite of production shipping & logistics SaaS applications used daily by thousands of merchants.
This is a hands-on, full-stack role focused on keeping mature, distributed systems reliable in production resolving customer-impacting issues, maintaining carrier integrations, and making careful, well-tested improvements rather than greenfield rewrites. You'll have true end-to-end ownership, from requirement discussions through to production.
What You'll Be Working On
You'll work across a suite of production shipping & logistics applications not a single product that power multi-carrier shipping for thousands of merchants across major e-commerce platforms.
These apps share a common backbone of shipping and rate engines, tracking pipelines, warehouse and fulfillment logic, invoicing, and label generation workflows.
Under the hood, this is a distributed, event-driven system: a set of microservices and backend services that communicate asynchronously through message queues and events, fronted by React-based merchant UIs. The services integrate with a wide range of shipping carriers over REST and SOAP APIs, process high volumes of orders and rate requests, and rely on multiple data stores for transactional data, search/indexing, and caching.
Your work spans the full stack and the full lifecycle maintaining and scaling these systems in production, debugging issues that cross service boundaries, extending carrier and platform integrations, and improving reliability and performance as merchant volume grows.
