Role & responsibilities
- Lesson planning and delivery Prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the Maldives National Curriculum (MNC) for the relevant subject and grade level (typically grades 810 for lower secondary, 1112 for higher secondary).
- Subject expertise Teach assigned subjects
- Assessment and evaluation – Set and mark class tests, assignments, and exams; prepare students for national assessments like O'Level (Cambridge/Edexcel) and A'Level exams.
- Record keeping

Classroom & Student Management
- Maintain discipline and a safe, positive learning environment.
- Monitor student behavior and well-being, referring concerns to counselors or school leadership when needed.
- Provide extra academic support to struggling students (remedial classes).
- Encourage student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

Administrative Duties
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions,



and career development workshops organized by the school or Ministry of Education.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and progress reports as required by school administration.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance (parent-teacher meetings).
- Contribute to school events, exams supervision, and other assigned duties (e.g., invigilation, subject committees).

Preferred candidate profile
- A Bachelor's Degree in the subject
- A relevant Master's degree is an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective lesson planning and classroom management skills
- Ability to use ICT tools and digital resources in teaching
- Skilled in assessment design and student progress tracking
- Familiarity with student-centered and activity-based learning approaches
