SAP ABAP Developer (Offshore) Development & Support

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled SAP NetWeaver (ABAP) Developer to join our team in an offshore capacity.

The primary focus of this role is to support general SAP development activities, including new project developments and maintenance/support tasks for our existing SAP landscape.

In addition, the developer will support the remediation of custom code identified during our S/4HANA readiness assessment, ensuring compatibility with our transition from ECC 6.0 (NetWeaver 7.50) to S/4HANA.

The developer will work closely with our SAP team to analyse, develop, adapt, and maintain custom developments across multiple functional areas.

Project Context

Current system: ECC 6.0 (NetWeaver 7.50)
Scope:
- General SAP development and maintenance support
- Incidents, change requests and projects
- Remediation of custom code findings from completed readiness analysis
- Two multi-tier SAP landscapes (Development / Quality / Production)

Key Responsibilities

General SAP Development (Primary Focus)
- Design, develop,



and enhance custom SAP solutions for:
- Recent business requirements
- Ongoing project initiatives
- Develop and maintain:
- Reports, includes, classes, function modules
- Interfaces and integrations
- Enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits, implicit/explicit enhancements)
- DDIC objects (tables, structures, views)
- Ensure:
- Clean, maintainable, and reusable code
- Alignment with SAP best practices and ITBA way of working

Application Support & Incident Resolution (Primary Focus)
- Support resolution of:
- Production incidents
- Functional and technical tickets
- Analyse issues and:
- Identify root cause
- Implement fixes or workarounds
- Ensure:
- Minimal disruption to business processes
- Stable and reliable system behavior

S/4HANA Custom Code Remediation (Secondary Focus)
- Analyse findings from tools such as:
- ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit)
- SCI (Code Inspector)
- SAP BTP Custom Code Analysis (used for central
