Role Description
The Online Bharatanatyam Teacher will conduct virtual dance classes, guiding learners of various ages and skill levels through structured lessons, practice sessions, and performance preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering online lessons, demonstrating techniques and choreography, providing individualized feedback, and ensuring students understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of Bharatanatyam.
The teacher will create or adapt teaching materials suitable for remote learning, maintain regular communication with students and guardians, and use online tools to manage schedules and track progress. This is a contract role and will be performed entirely as a remote position, requiring reliable internet access and comfort with video conferencing platforms.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Bharatanatyam, including technique, repertoire, and theory; prior teaching or performance experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to plan structured lessons, break down complex movements into clear steps, and adapt teaching methods for different age groups and learning speeds.
