About Outline India

Outline India is a boutique research and data organization. We collect intelligence from the grassroots — running field surveys, impact evaluations, and policy research across India and South Asia, working with clients like the World Bank, UNDP, Mastercard, Google, and GSMA.

Walkin interviews are open from 22nd Jun'26 onwards between 9:30am to 11AM at our Gurgaon office.

Role Overview

This role sits at the core of what Outline India does. Our reputation is built on the quality of our data and the rigour of our evaluations — and this person is responsible for both. You'll lead M&E; design and execution across projects, manage field operations, and produce analysis and reports that our clients rely on to make decisions.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the data as much as you're managing the process.

What You'll Do

I. M&E; Design and Analysis
- Design impact evaluations using experimental and quasi-experimental methods — RCTs, DiD, RDD, PSM, ITS
- Build and deploy digital surveys using SurveyCTO; design XLSForms that work in the field




- Manage data quality, cleaning, and documentation end-to-end
- Run statistical analysis in Stata software; own the numbers from raw data through to findings
- Write evaluation reports and policy recommendations that are transparent, rigorous, and usable
- Establish systems for tracking project outputs, outcomes, and impact indicators
- Lead baseline, midline, endline process, and impact evaluations
- Support study design, sampling, questionnaire development, and evaluation methodologies

II. Field Operations
- Lead field team training on data collection protocols and M&E; methodology
- Oversee data collection across project sites in India — including travel to the field
- Manage field logistics and budgets; adapt tools and instruments to local contexts
- Handle translations and localisation of survey instruments, including Hindi
- Conduct mid-term and end-term evaluations, needs assessments, and process monitoring
