Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Cath Lab Technician to assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Cath Lab equipment, patient preparation, and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Cath Lab before procedures.
- Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and other cardiac interventions.
- Operate Cath Lab imaging equipment safely.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures under the supervision of the medical team.
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards.
- Handle, clean, and maintain Cath Lab equipment.
- Record procedure details and maintain patient documentation.
- Assist in emergency cardiac procedures when required.
- Follow hospital safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Cath Lab Technology, Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related Allied Health Science field.
- Registration/certification as applicable under local regulations.
Experience
- Freshers may apply (training provided where applicable).
- Experience in a Cath Lab or cardiac care setting is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of Cath Lab procedures.
- Familiarity with angiography and angioplasty equipment.
- Basic ECG and patient monitoring knowledge.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in emergency situations.
