Devki Technocrat India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced VMC Operator to operate and manage Hartford Double Column Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining of large and heavy engineering components. The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of 2D CNC programming, engineering drawing interpretation, gauge usage, and machine preventive maintenance to ensure high productivity, accuracy, and machine reliability.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
- Operate Hartford Double Column VMC machines for machining heavy and large components.
- Setup jobs on the machine including fixtures, tools, offsets, and work coordinates.
- Execute and modify 2D VMC programs based on machining requirements.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure smooth and safe production.
Drawing Interpretation & Programming
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
- Understand basic GD&T; principles and machining requirements.
- Assist in program optimization and troubleshooting machining issues.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform in-process inspection of components during machining.
- Use precision measuring gauges and instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure components meet quality standards and drawing specifications.
Gauges & Measurement Tools Knowledge
Must be proficient in using:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer (Inside & Outside)
- Bore Gauge
- Height Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Slip Gauges / Gauge Blocks (preferred)
