Associate Software Engineer
Product Development and Quality Engineering

Role Overview
We are looking for motivated candidates to join our Product Engineering team as Associate Software Engineers. This is a hands-on engineering role that combines product development with quality assurance. Team members are expected to understand how a feature is designed and built, as well as how it should be validated and supported in production.
During the initial learning period, a team member may spend significant time understanding the product, executing functional and API tests, reproducing issues and validating fixes. As the candidate develops stronger product knowledge and demonstrates technical readiness, they will take increasing ownership of backend and frontend development tasks while continuing to contribute to product quality.

Key Responsibilities
Product Development
- Develop and maintain backend services and product features using Python or Node.js.
- Build and enhance responsive user-interface components using JavaScript and React.
- Design, develop,



integrate and troubleshoot REST APIs.
- Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
- Write clean, readable, maintainable and testable code.
- Create unit and integration tests for newly developed functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, product demonstrations and release activities.
- Investigate and resolve defects across frontend, backend, API and database layers.

Quality Engineering and Product Validation
- Understand product requirements and convert them into meaningful test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, API, regression and exploratory testing.
- Validate current features, defect fixes, upgrades and release candidates.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues and collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis.
