Job Description:
- Engineering, Design & Development of Chassis suspension structural components. (cradles, twist beams , links, hub & bearing, Knuckles, Frames, fasteners, Chassis tools & accessories like Jacks, winches, trailer hitches) for current & recent program. Development of Suspension module, Corner module and Strut module.
- *Hands on experience on design & development of Cradles, Twist beams, Links, Knuckles, Hub & bearing, Corner module assembly & Fasteners is mandatory.*
- Fastener joint design and analysis using calculation tools for Chassis joints. Torque strategy development, review of toque process and be able to suggest correct steps in process. Follow fastener design best practices and process best practices. Knowledge of DC tools, joints study and clamp load study.
- Proficiency in materials, durability, NVH, formability solutions, welding knowledge, coating, kinematics & compliance, wheel alignment & wheel geometry fundamentals.
- Expertise on vehicle build objectives, component and vehicle level GD&T.; Develop 2d and 3d solutions for structural components with dynamics packaging study. Hands on experience of executing tests and system level validations for suspension.
- Define Component development process and timeline to meet vehicle functional objectives, cost and timing.
Suspension Components Design & Development: Develop requirement matrix, Source package, technical review with supplier, Suppler evaluation, DVP&R; finalization, lead development, supplier process review, error proofing, tooling and fixture/ gauges review, material sign off, PPAP
