Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable data platforms using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Power BI, and will lead end-to-end data architecture, governance, and analytics solutions to support business intelligence and AI initiatives. Hands-on experience in Unity Catalog in a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based data architectures on Azure to support advanced analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives
- Develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and orchestrate end-to-end data workflows
- Architect and optimize data lakes for structured and unstructured data storage using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
- Implement ELT/ETL frameworks using Azure Databricks and Spark for big data processing
- Integrate, transform, and visualize data using Power BI,
ensuring efficient data modeling and DAX optimization
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Azure environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define and deliver scalable solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and developers
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in architecting data solutions on Microsoft Azure (minimum 4+ years)
- Expertise in:
- Unity Catalog
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
- Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1/Gen2
- Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
- Robust understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and modern data platform patterns (e.g., medallion architecture)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or PySpark for data processing and transformations
- Experience with CI/CD, version
