The Manager – Land Acquisition & Government Liaison will identify, negotiate, and acquire land for real estate projects across West Bengal. The role requires strong experience in land acquisition, government liaison, title due diligence, site clearance, stakeholder management, and statutory coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and acquire land parcels.

Understand Mouza, Khasra, LR/RS records, land classifications, and land laws in West Bengal.

Lead landowner negotiations and finalize acquisition terms.

Coordinate due diligence, title verification, legal documentation, and risk assessment.

Manage site clearance, encroachment removal, and land-related disputes.

Liaise with government departments and local authorities for approvals and project support.

Ensure timely statutory permissions and clearances.

Build strong stakeholder relationships for smooth execution.

Track acquisition progress and prepare reports and updates.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, EHS,



and ESG requirements.

Requirements
Must Have

Minimum 8 years of dedicated experience in real estate land acquisition.

Strong knowledge of Mouza, Khasra, LR/RS records, and land revenue systems of West Bengal.

Expertise in land acquisition, site clearance, title verification, and legal documentation.

Solid negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Experience handling landowners, brokers, advocates, and local authorities.

Good to Have

Proven experience liaising with BDOs, MLAs, Panchayat leaders, Zilla Parishad, NKDA, HIDCO, local police, and other government authorities.

Exposure to EHS and ESG compliance requirements.
