About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help build, optimize, and scale our data infrastructure. You'll work closely with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to design robust data pipelines and ensure our data warehouse supports fast, reliable decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs
- Develop and manage data models within Amazon Redshift, optimizing for performance and cost
- Build and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt (data build tool), following best practices for testing, documentation, and modularity
- Monitor data pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver clean, well-structured datasets
- Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring across pipelines
- Optimize query performance and warehouse cost efficiency in Redshift
- Contribute to data architecture decisions and documentation
- Stay current with best practices in data engineering, warehousing, and orchestration tools
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift (or similar cloud data warehouses) - schema design, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Solid working knowledge of dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for data workflows
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data projects
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling, etc.)
