Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Apigee Developer with 46 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing APIs using the Google Cloud Apigee platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing API proxies, implementing security policies, integrating with backend services, troubleshooting SSL and network connectivity issues, and supporting testing and deployments. The role requires close collaboration with API designers, application teams, infrastructure teams, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing API solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs and API proxies using Google Cloud Apigee (Apigee X or Hybrid).
- Configure and implement Apigee policies for security, traffic management, mediation, transformation, and error handling.
- Integrate APIs with backend applications, microservices, middleware platforms, and third-party systems.
- Handle SSL certificate requests, certificate renewals, trust store/keystore management, and secure API communication.




- Coordinate with network and infrastructure teams to resolve connectivity, firewall, DNS, load balancer, and routing issues affecting API integrations.
- Prepare and maintain development deliverables, including:
- API Specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Low-Level Design (LLD), where applicable
- Unit Test Cases
- Unit Test Results
- Deployment Packages and Release Documentation
- Perform unit testing and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot API defects, performance issues, and runtime errors during testing and production support.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, mTLS, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Monitor API performance and optimize proxy configurations for reliability and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise development standards and API governance guide
