Role & responsibilities :

We are hiring a Material Compliance Engineer with experience in the Automotive industry and International Material Data System (IMDS).

Experience : 2 to 4 Years

Location: Chennai

Notice Period : Immediate Joiner to 30 Days

The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of global material compliance regulations and hands-on experience in creating and managing Material Data Sheets (MDS).

Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, revise, and submit Material Data Sheets (MDS) in IMDS.
- Perform MDS Tree Creation and maintain material compliance data.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with IMDS recommendations and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) directives and amendments.
- Perform RRR (Reusability, Recyclability & Recoverability) calculations.
- Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) and validate material composition.
- Review Substances of Concern (SoC) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Work with REACH, SCIP, and GADSL requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect and validate material information.




- Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Prepare reports and maintain compliance documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental and material compliance.

b. REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals),
