Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the enterprise-wide insurance and risk management strategy aligned with the organization’s operational scale, capital intensity, and growth roadmap.
- Partner with executive leadership to integrate risk management into business strategy, particularly across refining, petrochemical, storage, and distribution operations.
- Provide expert advisory on risk transfer mechanisms, coverage adequacy, and evolving global insurance market dynamics.
- Lead planning and budgeting for the insurance portfolio, ensuring cost optimization without compromising risk coverage.
- Lead negotiations with insurers and reinsurers to secure fair and timely claim settlements, especially for large-value and complex claims - Review and strengthen insurance and risk management policies, processes, and procedures, while ensuring robust governance and adherence across the organization to enable consistent, controlled, and compliant execution of insurance activities.
- Drive continuous enhancement of insurance policy wordings, identify and address coverage gaps,



and improve processes, procedures, and systems by leveraging industry best practices, with a focus on optimizing cost efficiency, strengthening risk coverage, and improving overall operational productivity. - Lead comprehensive assessment of insurance requirements by identifying risk exposures and classifying risks to design optimal coverage structures, cost efficiencies, and effective claims outcomes in line with defined processes.
- Continuously evaluate market practices and available risk solutions to enhance the organization’s insurance coverage and risk transfer strategies.
- Establish and manage a panel of intermediaries (brokers) for optimised placement of risks in reinsurance market.
- Develop and maintain a panel of TPAs and surveyors to ensure effective servicing and administration of insurance policies.
