- Expertise in DI casting inspection and OEM documentation.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, 7QC tools, 5 Why, Fishbone, Six Sigma.
- Familiar with IS, BS, ASTM, EN standards.

Desired profile of the candidate

The Candidate will be responsible for inspection, documentation, and quality assurance of ductile iron castings to meet OEM and internal standards. Involves in-process/final checks, root cause analysis, and coordination with production teams for quality improvements.

Description / Responsibilities (IN DETAIL)
- Inspect raw and machined DI castings; ensure compliance with drawings, tolerances, and OEM specs.
- Perform dimensional, visual,



and NDT tests (UT, MPI, hardness, etc.).
- Use inspection tools (Vernier, micrometre, bore gauge, height gauge, CMM).
- Ensure process compliance during moulding,core making,melting,pouring,fetting and machining.
- Maintain quality records, rejection logs, and customer approval documents.
- Support PPAP/APQP and participate in audits (internal & external).
- Conduct defect analysis and implement CAPA.
- Ensure segregation and traceability of non-conforming products.
- Coordinate with production, pattern, and machining teams for improvements.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems and OEM quality requirements.
- Prior experience in customer handling, complaint resolution and dispatch clearance for OEMs.
