Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise & Escalation: Serve as the final authority on complex ticketing, fare rules, and GDS (Amadeus/Galileo) issues.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce corporate travel policies to optimize spending, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
- Operational Leadership: Train team members on recent booking systems, processes, and international travel regulations.
- Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate with airlines, hotels, and car rental partners to secure better rates.
- Emergency Management: Act as the primary contact for high-profile travelers and handle emergency disruptions (e.g., travel risks).
- Data Analysis: Analyze travel data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and vendor performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years in travel operations, with at least 1–2 years in an SME, lead, or supervisory role.
- Systems: Deep knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo) and booking tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of IATA regulations, international fare structures, and visa protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills under high-pressure scenarios.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
