Head of Accounting India

Role Overview

The Head of Accounting India will lead the full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting across all Indian legal entities. This role is accountable for ensuring best-in-class financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls, while aligning with global finance standards.

As a key member of the finance leadership team, the role will partner closely with business leaders, global stakeholders, and external advisors to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close in compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, and statutory requirements
- Own and manage statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits, act as primary liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Ensure full compliance with the Companies Act,



GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other applicable regulations
- Ensure compliance with applicable statute, listing regulations, and regulatory requirements, including those prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, including SOX compliance, and drive continuous process improvements
- Review and approve financial statements, disclosures, and management reporting packs
- Partner with FP&A;, Tax, Treasury, and Business Finance teams to support business decisions
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting organization across multiple entities
- Support strategic initiatives including M&A;, restructuring, and ERP/system implementations (SAP/Oracle)
