The SRE Engineer will be responsible for supporting AvidPay applications, which include multiple payment-related systems and supporting platforms. The role requires working in a dynamic environment with continuously evolving releases, ensuring operational stability, monitoring, and proactive issue management across the application landscape.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proficiency in .NET-based ecosystems and related development/runtime environments
- Experience with function apps and distributed architectures
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ for queue monitoring and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with schedulers (e.g., Nacha) for managing batch jobs and payment processes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and deployment workflows
- Strong understanding of SRE principles with focus on production support and operations.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and ing systems like PagerDuty
- Solid understanding of cloud-based application architecture and how applications are deployed and hosted
- Ability to interpret technical architecture, including platform components and hosting environments (e.g., Azure-based services)
- Ability to handle manual and automated monitoring, especially in dynamic release environments
- Skills in incident management, handling, and response workflows
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for production issues and operational incidents
- Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and support incident resolution.
- Understanding of cloud-based environments and application hosting concepts.
