Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Executive who lives and breathes news and digital trends. The

ideal candidate will manage The Bharat Post’s social media platforms, create engaging content

ideas, and ensure our news reaches audiences in a timely and impactful way.

Since this is a news-driven platform, the role requires someone who can stay alert, react quickly

to breaking developments, and turn news into engaging social media content.

Key Responsibilities





Social Media Management

● Manage and grow The Bharat Post’s social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter,

Facebook, YouTube, etc.).

● Publish news updates, posts, reels, and carousels aligned with trending topics.

● Ensure timely posting of breaking news and important updates.

Content Ideation

● Suggest creative post ideas including:

○ News explainer carousels

○ Opinion and analysis posts

○ Reels and short-form video concepts

○ Trending news breakdowns

● Identify viral opportunities and trending topics to increase reach and engagement.

Content Planning

● Plan daily, weekly, and trending news content calendars.

● Convert complex news stories into simple, engaging, and shareable social media formats.

Collaboration

● Work closely with designers and video editors to create visually engaging posts, reels,

and carousels.
