Role & responsibilities

rincipal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

1. Production Management System (PDCA role)
- Achieve Production Plan vs. Actual as per the Monthly Production Plan in Machine Shop for Aluminum and Steel Parts.
- Plan adjustment to meet daily requirements.
- Allocate the operator as per skill matrix and work for multi skilling of operators.
- Achieve the OEE as per set targets for the year.
- Monitor the consumption of Cutting Tools/consumable as per plan and to control the losses.
- Ensure Daily JH or CLITA of Machines.
- Ensure updates of Tooling History Card as per Process Control Plan.
- Train the new operators in OJT.
- Trouble shooting at line to achieve Production and Quality Targets.
- Handle the line independently during Shift.
- Production report booking in SAP at end of shift.
- Lead the Setup change over independently.

1. Quality Control
- Ensure inspection being carried out by Operators as per Process Control Plan & educate the operators for critical feedback related to inspection.




- Ensure Rejection/Rework Parts proper storage in respective Std. Bins and location to avoid mix up.
- Achieve Quality Performance as per set target of the year.
- Support to Line Inspectors for abnormality correction on real time basis.

1. Quality Management System
- Participate and ensure all documentation and records mgmt. as per Plant Quality Management System.
- Participate in Process Audit/Product Audit as per Annual Plan.
- Participate in establishment of Safety Management System OHSAS 18001 & Workplace Management System ISO 14001, along with Plant HR and Maint. Function.
- Participate in TPM Activities as per Plant TPM Structure requirements, for Plant Manufacturing Excellence journey.

1. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement measures to increase productivity, such as cycle time reduction, automation, Process elimination and workflow improvements.
- Identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes related to C
