The world's machines are documented in 2D. Parts manuals, exploded views, engineering drawings, warehouse photos — that's what actually exists at the companies that build and service physical products. The 3D CAD either sits locked in an engineering vault, belongs to a supplier, or was never digitized at all.
Metadome turns 2D into trustworthy 3D: models, renderings, and interactive experiences that Fortune 500 manufacturers share with dealers, technicians, and customers. The frontier problem — the one you'd own — is
generation you can audit
: reconstructing geometry from underdetermined inputs while knowing, region by region, what was observed and what was inferred. Plausible isn't enough in this market. A technician orders a hydraulic bracket based on what we render. It has to be right, and it has to be
*provably*
right.
What you'll own
- The applied-research charter for
image/drawing/text → CAD generation
— architecture, training, and the road from paper to production
- Verification and provenance
:
rebuild-and-compare loops, per-region confidence scoring, dimensional validation of generated geometry against source drawings
- Dataset strategy
across large-scale synthetic corpora and human-authored CAD — including where synthetic data generalizes and where it quietly fails
- Shipping into a live pipeline used by global OEMs in automotive and industrial equipment — your models render parts that real technicians order
- A small, sharp research pod, working directly with the founder and an advisor bench spanning frontier AI labs and world-class creative-tooling teams
- Patents: this is an active IP area, and your name goes on what you invent
What you've done
- 4+ years building ML or graphics systems, with at least one generative or 3D-reconstruction system you took from idea to shipped
- Deep PyTorch fluency; you've trained and debugged real models, not just fine-tuned APIs
- Solid 3D geometry fundam
