Role & responsibilities
- Conduct inbound quality checks for Fruits & Vegetables (FnV), including grading, visual inspection, and rejection of sub-standard produce.
- Perform quality audits at J24 stores to ensure freshness, shelf-life, display standards, and minimal wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement and hub operations teams to identify vendor quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records, inspection logs, and GRN documentation with high accuracy.
- Monitor shrinkage and dump trends and support initiatives to improve product quality.
- Assist in developing and implementing SOPs for grading, receiving, and freshness standards.
- Work closely with store teams to ensure customers consistently receive fresh, high-quality produce.
- Travel across hubs and stores in Bangalore to conduct regular quality inspections and support operations.
Preferred candidate profile
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 13 years of experience in Fruits & Vegetables (FnV), food quality, retail operations, warehouse operations, or mandi procurement.
- Basic understanding of fresh produce grading, quality inspection, and handling practices.
- Comfortable working in warehouse, hub, and retail store environments.
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to identify quality defects and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with procurement, operations, and store teams.
- Proficient in MS Excel for maintaining quality logs and reports.
- Willing to travel across stores and hubs within Bangalore.
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
