Role Description
The Freight Rate Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This position is responsible for obtaining, analyzing, and negotiating freight rates from carriers and agents for sea, air, and land transport, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing for clients. The role involves preparing rate quotations, updating rate databases,



and coordinating with internal sales and operations teams to support proposals and bookings. The specialist will interact with customers to clarify requirements, provide rate options, and resolve pricing-related queries in a timely and professional manner. Daily tasks include monitoring market trends, tracking changes in surcharges and tariffs, and collaborating with supply chain and documentation teams to ensure compliance with export regulations. The role requires attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple rate requests and deadlines.
