As a Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality Engineering (Electrical & Electronics), you will play a pivotal role in supporting and actively contributing to the development of current automotive products, principally in the domains of Mechanism and Electrical components such as Window Regulators, Door Latches, Starter Motors, Alternators, Fuel Dispensing Modules, and Wiper Motors. You will be responsible for early identification and driving of quality and process improvements throughout the product lifecycle, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving and ensuring successful completion of joint Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities with suppliers to embed quality at the earliest stages of product development.
Developing strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance manufacturing processes and product reliability through regular performance monitoring, conducting supplier audits, and overseeing corrective action plans such as Supplier Corrective Action Plan (SCAP) and 8D reports.
Leading systematic problem identification and resolution using robust quality tools and methodologies including Six Sigma and QC Story, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective measures.
Facilitating daily work management through tracking concern status, analysing performance metrics monthly, and driving prompt resolution of quality issues to maintain high operational standards.
Championing knowledge-sharing initiatives by ensuring that lessons learned from various product families are communicated effectively to platform teams, supporting the prevention of recurring issues and continuous improvement.
Conducting comprehensive supplier audits to assess compliance with company specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations, thereby strengthening supplier quality systems.
