As an Outbound BDR, your primary responsibility is to generate current business pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting. This is a pure outbound and individual contributor role.

In this role, you will
- Conduct targeted outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels to identify potential customers.
- Research and develop a deep understanding of target accounts—IT landscape, tools used, tech stack, budget indicators, personas, and organizational structures.




- Build and maintain a high-quality lead database for target accounts through account mapping and contact discovery.
- Execute structured outreach cadences using email, calling sequences, and social selling to engage prospects.
- Identify, qualify, and generate new sales opportunities using BANT or similar qualification frameworks.
- Educate prospects about Progress products (e.g., WhatsUp Gold, LoadMaster, Chef) to drive interest and prepare them for further discussions with Account Managers.
- Schedule Discovery Calls / Product Demos for the Account Management team with well-qualified prospects.
- Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, qualification notes, and pipeline activity in Salesforce and SalesLoft.
- Optimize contact lists and campaigns through ongoing data hygiene, enrichment, and Opportunity-quality management.
