What You’ll Build

• Design and architect our core backend platform using Node.js and TypeScript

• Establish concurrency and async patterns as first-class design principles

• Define service boundaries, API standards, and data modeling philosophy

• Architect database schemas optimized for scale and long-term maintainability

• Build real-time communication systems (WebSockets, streaming APIs)

• Establish observability, reliability, and production-readiness standards

• Create documentation and technical guidelines for future engineers





• Help shape hiring standards for backend engineers

What You Must Bring

• 3-5 years of backend engineering experience

• Deep expertise in Node.js, Java and/or TypeScript

• Strong fluency with event loop internals, async/await orchestration, concurrency patterns

• Experience with worker threads, clustering, multithreading & multiprocessing strategies

• Strong database architecture experience (PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB)

• Expertise in schema design, indexing strategy, query optimization

• Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets

• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design (caching, queues, scaling patterns)

• Experience debugging complex production issues

• Core backend architecture is reliable, scalable, and clean

• Engineering standards are well-defined and documented
