- Key Responsibilities
- OTS Model Development
- Lead and contribute for the Inhouse OTS development.
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Develop and validate dynamic simulation models
- Develop control models using DCS/ESD/PLC database and integrate with process models
- Conduct MAT, FAT and SAT with end user
- Ensure the quality of models developed by team members
- Update OTS for changes in plant and control logic.
- Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors/partners for project execution, technical support, and issue resolution.
- Ensure the quality deliverables from vendors
- Deliver UniSim training for team members and Technologist.
- OTS Training and Utilization
- Support site teams for the effective utilization of OTS and tracking across all sites.
- Deliver instructor trainings.
- Lead the migration of OTS models to the latest Software versions.
- Develop new upset scenarios based on the user requirements
- Develop new generic models from existing plant-specific models to cover critical unit operations.
- Data Management and Reporting
- Document project closure reports, user guides, and best practices.
- Develop utilization, effectiveness, and progress reports (weekly/monthly).
- Contribute to version control & software configuration for all deployed OTS.
- Conduct audits and report findings with corrective action plans
- Technical Standards & Competency Development
- Follow the technical and quality standards related to OTS systems.
- Mentor team members and conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
- Conduct technical audits and bridge identified gaps.
- Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in development of energetic simulation (preferably Honeywell UniSim) and control model.
- Experience in model integration and performing start-up and shutdown of the plant using OTS
- Strong understanding of refinery and petrochemical process technologies.
- Ownership mindset with strong project delivery focus.
