- Drive cost optimization through value engineering and alternate sourcing.
- Manage both domestic and international procurement.
Vendor Development
- Develop and qualify new suppliers for:
- Precision machined parts
- Castings
- Fabricated assemblies
- Sheet metal parts
- Electrical panels
- Harnesses
- Linear motion systems
- Servo motors and drives
- CNC controllers
- Conduct supplier audits.
- Improve supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Implement vendor rating and supplier development programs.
Inventory s Materials Management
- Maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Improve inventory turnover.
- Reduce slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Ensure material availability for production.
- Monitor stock accuracy and warehouse coordination.
Production Planning Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Quality and Stores.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Support monthly and quarterly production plans.
- Minimize shortages affecting customer deliveries.
Import Procurement
- Handle procurement of imported components
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents and logistics partners.
Cost Reduction
- Drive annual procurement cost savings.
- Implement value analysis/value engineering initiatives.
- Increase localization of imported components.
- Improve payment terms and working capital.
Supply Chain Excellence
- Implement KPIs and dashboards.
- Improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.
- Reduce procurement lead times.
- Develop supplier risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and quality systems.
