Job Title:

Apprentice Microbiology

Job Purpose

To support the Microbiology team in routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, documentation, and compliance activities while gaining practical experience in pharmaceutical quality control and GMP practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in routine microbiological testing of raw materials, water samples, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Perform environmental monitoring activities in production and controlled areas.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, and microbiological solutions as per SOPs.
- Support microbial limit tests, bioburden testing, and sterility testing under supervision.
- Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, and colony counters.




- Record observations, test results, and laboratory data accurately.
- Follow Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and data integrity requirements.
- Assist in cleaning, calibration, and housekeeping of the microbiology laboratory.
- Participate in investigations related to microbiological deviations and out-of-specification results.
- Comply with safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
