Job Summary

The NAPS Trainee will undergo structured on-the-job training in the Production Department of an Extra High Voltage (EHV) Cable Manufacturing Plant. The trainee will assist in manufacturing activities, learn various production processes, and ensure compliance with company standards related to safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day production activities as per the production plan.
- Support operators in cable manufacturing processes such as conductor preparation, insulation, sheathing, taping, armouring, jacketing, and drum loading.
- Learn and assist in operating production machines under the guidance of supervisors.
- Load raw materials and support machine setup and changeover activities.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process parameters.
- Maintain production quality by following inspection and quality control guidelines.
- Report machine abnormalities, quality issues,



or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and checklists as assigned.
- Ensure proper handling and identification of raw materials and finished products.
- Follow 5S practices and maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas.
- Strictly comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and use the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and TPM.
- Work effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets.

Educational Qualification
- ITI (Electrician, Fitter, Wireman, Turner, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, etc.)
OR
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines.
