Role Overview

The SOC Manager oversees the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), managing security monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, and SIEM/SOAR/XDR operations. The role owns team performance, process governance, client reporting, SLAs, and 247 readiness to ensure continuous visibility, resilience, and protection of IT infrastructure, critical data, and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

SOC leadership and operations management.

Governance of SIEM, SOAR, and XDR platforms.

Incident response and threat management.

Client and stakeholder engagement.

Compliance and process governance.

Technology and resource management.

Team training and continuous improvement.

Vendor and third-party coordination.

Technical Skills

– Hands-on experience with SIEM (IBM QRadar preferred).

– Knowledge of SOAR tools (IBM SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR, or similar).

– Robust understanding of XDR / EDR tools.

– Deep knowledge of network security, endpoint security, malware analysis, the cyber kill chain,



and attack vectors.

– Proficiency with the MITRE ATT&CK; framework, IOC/IOA analysis, log correlation, and detection engineering.

– Understanding of cloud security (AWS / Azure / GCP).

– Familiarity with threat intelligence tools, sandboxing, packet analysis, and security forensics.

Required Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations or Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Experience managing SOC teams and security operations.
- Proven experience in incident response, threat management, and security monitoring.
- Experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management is preferred.
