iKure is looking for a
Research Associate – Climate Change & Health
to support research, evidence generation, field studies, program design, and knowledge development around the impact of climate change on health.

This role is suited for someone with a background in climate change, environment, sustainability, public health, development studies, or related fields. Prior exposure to health, public health, community health, or health systems will be preferred.

At iKure, we are increasingly looking at how climate change affects vulnerable communities through heat stress, air pollution, water insecurity, vector-borne diseases, nutrition, occupational risks, maternal and child health, NCDs, and access to primary healthcare. The role will help build evidence, insights, and program models that connect climate risk with health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support research on the impact of climate change on health, especially for underserved and vulnerable communities.




- Conduct literature reviews, evidence mapping, policy reviews, and secondary research on climate-health themes.
- Support field research, community assessments, surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and stakeholder consultations.
- Assist in designing study tools, questionnaires, data collection frameworks, and research protocols.
- Analyse climate, health, demographic, program, and field data to generate useful insights.
- Support research around heat stress, air pollution, water and sanitation, vector-borne diseases, occupational health, maternal and child health, NCDs, and climate-resilient primary care.
- Prepare research reports, policy briefs, case studies, concept notes, presentations, and knowledge products.
- Support proposal development and grant applications related to climate change, health systems, resilience, and community health.
