Experience:
- Minimum
1-2 years
of experience as a Laundry Attendant in a hotel, resort, or commercial laundry.
- Experience in handling industrial laundry equipment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and organize guest and hotel linen according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect linens and garments for stains, damage, or wear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper handling of different fabric types and follow garment care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
- Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damaged items.
- Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Assist with the collection and distribution of clean linen to various departments as required.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, and stain removal techniques.
- Ability to operate commercial washing, drying, and pressing equipment.
- Physically fit to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Language Skills:
- Malayalam – Mandatory
- English – Good communication
- Hindi – Preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (10th/12th Pass) or equivalent.
- Certification or vocational training in Laundry Operations or Housekeeping is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
