We are looking for an experienced
Database Administrator (DBA)
with expertise in
Apache Cassandra, Redis, MariaDB, or MongoDB
to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer Cassandra/Redis/MariaDB/MongoDB databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
- Implement backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform database maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage database security, user access, and permissions.
- Collaborate with development teams on data modeling and performance optimization.
- Automate administrative tasks using Bash or Python scripting.
- Monitor database health using tools such as Prometheus or OpsCenter.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience as a Database Administrator with
Cassandra, Redis, MariaDB, or MongoDB
.
- Strong understanding of
NoSQL databases
.
- Experience with
Linux/Unix
environments.
- Knowledge of
replication, consistency, partitioning, backup & recovery
.
- Scripting experience in
Bash or Python
.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as
Prometheus
or
OpsCenter
.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in infrastructure automation and database monitoring.
