Job Description – Plant Manager (Construction Chemical Industry)

Job Title:
Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day plant operations to ensure smooth and effective production.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure product quality by implementing quality control standards and SOPs.
- Supervise production, maintenance, stores, dispatch, and quality teams.
- Monitor raw material consumption, inventory, and production costs.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and minimize downtime.
- Implement safety (EHS) policies and maintain statutory compliance.
- Optimize productivity, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams for timely production and dispatch.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and MIS reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate plant employees.

Required Qualifications:




- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in plant operations, preferably in the construction chemical, paint, adhesive, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality systems, inventory management, and safety standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
