Nursing Supervisor/Director of Nursing

Job Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is a front line and supervisory position acting as a representative for PJS Care Services and directing the nursing services offered by the company. The Nurse Supervisor promotes and restores Clients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the client care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff in order to achieve the best Client outcomes in compliance with the physician's orders.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Illinois
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- 3 years health care experience
- Able to supervise (instruct, assign work, etc.) RN’s, LPN’s, Nursing Assistants, and Aides
- Current certificate in standard first aid and CPR
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment.




- Skills in reviewing clinical work of others for compliance with skilled standards and practice guidelines.

Duties And Responsibilities
The following list is a guideline of possible responsibilities and duties to be performed independently or as a group of duties by the Nurse Supervisor but is not limited to only those listed below:
- Accomplish nursing human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, recommending compensation actions, and ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
- Frequently provide On-Site supervision of RNs, LPNs, Nurse Assistants, and Aides to ensure the implementation of the Agency’s Policies and Procedures and effective Client care.
- Frequently receive feedback from Client and nursing staff to assess relationships between said parties and as necessary work to remedy problem areas identified.
