Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, imported items, and CAPEX equipment to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials such as steel, castings, forgings, and other engineering materials for oil & gas and machining operations.
- Handle import procurement activities, including supplier identification, RFQs, commercial negotiations, purchase orders, Incoterms, customs documentation, freight coordination, and delivery tracking.
- Source and procure CAPEX items, including CNC/VMC machines, production equipment, tooling, plant machinery, utilities, and infrastructure-related assets.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop domestic and international suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and long-term supply agreements to optimize procurement costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure timely material availability.




- Monitor inventory levels and procurement plans to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements for the oil & gas sector.
- Track supplier performance based on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness, and implement supplier improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, import regulations, customs requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Prepare procurement budgets, cost-saving initiatives, MIS reports, and monthly purchase analytics for management review.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delayed deliveries, and commercial disputes.
- Drive value engineering, vendor development, localization, and continuous cost reduction initiatives.
