About the Role
SocialHook is a new social media platform in active development β built to reward users for their time and attention instead of just consuming it, and to help people feel genuinely connected instead of just scrolling. We're looking for a Growth & Marketing Intern to help us plan and run our very first organic growth push β no big budget, no big team, just smart, creative execution. You'll be working directly with the founder, not buried under five layers of management, on real campaigns that go live immediately.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Planning and posting short-form video content (Reels/Shorts/WhatsApp Status) around the app's key features
- Helping write scripts and hooks for our video content calendar
- Managing our social media pages and community groups (WhatsApp/Telegram/Instagram)
- Researching and reaching out to small creators/influencers for collaborations
- Tracking basic growth numbers (downloads, signups, engagement) and reporting what's working
- Helping optimize our app store listing (title, description, screenshots)
- Supporting referral and community-building initiatives to grow our early user base
What We're Looking For
- Genuine interest in marketing, growth, or social media (a degree is not required β a valuable eye for content and trends matters more)
- Comfortable using Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp as a creator/marketer, not just a user
- Explicit communication skills in English (Hindi/Marathi a plus)
- Self-motivated β you'll be given real ownership, not micromanaged tasks
- Bonus: familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or any AI content tools
