About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (SQL Server DBA) to join our Data Platform Operations team. The role is responsible for administering, optimizing, and modernizing Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure high availability, performance, security, and data integrity for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, SSIS, performance tuning, backup and recovery, database migrations, and cloud modernization initiatives such as Azure SQL Database. This role requires close collaboration with application, infrastructure, and data teams to deliver reliable database services while ensuring operational excellence and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments across production and non-production systems.
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and security hardening activities.
- Monitor database health, performance, capacity,



and availability through proactive maintenance and regular health checks.
- Manage database backup, restore, disaster recovery, Always On Availability Groups, and log shipping.
- Optimize SQL Server performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance analysis.
- Support SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, including deployment, scheduling, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
- Execute database migration and modernization initiatives, including SQL Server to Azure SQL Database migrations.
- Troubleshoot L2/L3 production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Automate routine database administration tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting tools.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to support ETL processes, deployments, and data integration.
