We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience working in a Building / construction domain to provide technical and administrative support by maintaining engineering documentation, preparing CAD drawings and responding to engineering support enquiries
.
Purpose of the role:
This role will support engineering, sales, manufacturing and operations teams of a manufacturing company by preparing CAD drawings, responding to technical enquiries and producing accurate engineering documentation
.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to internal engineering and product support enquiries
- Provide technical information relating to products, assemblies, components and parts
- Prepare and update 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks
- Produce manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and exploded views
- Update drawings and documentation following approved design changes
- Create, update and maintain engineering documentaties
- Prepare technical reports, spreadsheets,
product guides and work instruction
- Assist with installation instructions, technical manuals and product documentation
- Support engineering, sales, manufacturing and customer service teams with accurate technical information
- Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation in line with company standards
- Escalate matters requiring engineering approval or more complex design review
- Manage multiple technical requests and priorities independently
Essential requirements
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
- 1-5 years' experience in an engineering support, technical support, CAD drafting or technical documentation role
- Proficiency using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Robust understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Excellent attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
