Job Description

Position Summary

The Medical Director for Endocrinology and Oncology drives clinical strategy and trial design, provides patient safety oversight, and serves as the primary medical authority for the clinical development program. The Medical Director has indication level ownership, operating under clinical leadership guidance. This position reports to the Vice President of Clinical Development.

Position Focus

Clinical development program for Endocrinology and Oncology.

Key Responsibilities

Drives clinical strategy and trial design and provides patient safety oversight while serving as the primary medical authority for the clinical development programs.
Serves as the clinical and scientific expert for assigned disease states and indications.
Partners closely with Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs to support the execution of clinical programs.
Provide medical oversight for clinical development programs, ensuring patient safety, scientific integrity, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.




Serve as medical monitor for clinical trials, including review and assessment of safety data, protocol deviations, and serious adverse events.
Provide expert medical judgment for safety signal detection, benefit-risk evaluation, and appropriate escalation of emerging clinical issues.
Drive timely execution by generating rapid draft deliverables, incorporating feedback in real time, and adapting outputs efficiently in energetic, high-demand environments.
Author and review key clinical sections of regulatory and study documents, ensuring medical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Represent Lumos in scientific and patient advocacy forums.
Support long-term program development and lifecycle planning.
Has direct line management responsibility for assigned Clinical Research Scientist(s).

Qualifications

Medical degree such as MD or DO with 3 or more years of relevant clinical, research, or pharmaceutical
