JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated Instrument Technician to support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of plant instrumentation systems. The role involves hands-on work in troubleshooting, routine inspection, and supporting engineers to ensure the reliable operation of all instrumentation and control systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Installation & Maintenance
• Assist in the installation, loop checking, and commissioning of field instruments.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of transmitters, sensors, valves, gauges, etc.
• Support in MCC–DCS/PLC wiring and related connections.
2. Calibration & Inspection
• Perform calibration of pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments as per schedule.
• Maintain calibration logbooks, records, and history cards.
• Ensure tools and test instruments are maintained in good condition.

Troubleshooting & Support
• Identify faults and assist engineers in troubleshooting instrument-related issues.
• Report abnormalities and suggest corrective actions to minimize downtime.
4. Documentation & System Entry
• Update daily maintenance activities and work orders in the SAP/ERP system.
• Support in preparing reports and records for audits and inspections.
5. Safety & Compliance
• Follow all plant safety guidelines and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Good knowledge of field instrumentation and wiring.
• Practical skills in calibration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of P&IDs; and instrument tag identification.
• Ability to work in shifts and under supervision.
• Team-oriented, safety-conscious, and quality-focused.
