Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control & Assurance: Monitor and control quality processes throughout the manufacturing of MV cables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Metallurgical Analysis: Apply in-depth knowledge of aluminum and aluminum alloy grades to assess material quality and performance.
- Routine Testing: Conduct and oversee routine testing of materials and finished products, including mechanical, electrical, and chemical tests.
- Core Drawing & Strengthening: Ensure the proper execution of core drawing processes , including the assessment of mechanical properties and the effectiveness of strengthening techniques.
- External Process Management: Supervise and verify external processing activities to maintain product integrity and quality.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality tests, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement in quality control processes and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams,
engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure product consistency.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the MV cable industry.
- Strong metallurgical knowledge of aluminum and aluminum alloy grades.
- Hands-on experience with routine testing methods applicable to MV cable manufacturing.
- In-depth understanding of core drawing , strengthening processes, and external process management.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Materials Science , Electrical Engineering , or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Auditor) is a plus.
