The Role
The GCP Senior SME is a senior-level technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and governing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role acts as a trusted advisor to architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud adoption aligned with enterprise strategy.

1. Architecture & Solution Design
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures using GCP services
- Define enterprise cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices




- Translate business requirements into cloud-native solutions
- Architect hybrid/multi-cloud solutions (VPN, Interconnect, Kubernetes, etc.)

2. Cloud Implementation & Engineering
- Lead deployment of GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.)
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / Deployment Manager)
- Drive cloud migration programs (on-prem → GCP) with minimal downtime
- Ensure high availability, DR strategy, and scalability of workloads

3. Operations, Support & Governance
- Act as L3 escalation point for complex incidents and troubleshooting
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
- Establish SLAs, SLOs, monitoring, and operational runbooks
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards
