Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport
WRI India’s Integrated Transport Program supports India’s decarbonization journey through effective, equitable, and inclusive mobility solutions. The program focuses on advancing sustainable urban transport, including electrification of public transport, clean air initiatives, and hydrogen economy. It emphasizes strategic research, policy support, and capacity building to enable systemic changes at the sub-national level and accelerate electric mobility adoption.

The ideal candidate should possess skills in quantitative and qualitative research, data and spatial analytics and application development. Candidates with research or technical experience in one or more of the following areas such as sustainable mobility, urban and transport planning, transportation analytics, social science, and public policy will be preferred. The goal is to generate current research, analysis, evidence, and tools to inform policy and practice for sustainable mobility as part of the SHIFT Transport Initiative.

What you will do:
- Support research, analytics, and the development and maintenance of web applications under the SHIFT Transport Initiative, including Analytics in Public Transport, Active Transportation and Road Network, and other relevant areas.
- Develop visualizations, analytical tools, and frameworks to generate actionable insights for sustainable transport.
