Job Description
Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.
The ideal candidates should have experience in the following areas:
3D modeling for offline instruments, junction boxes, local panels, fire & gas systems, telecom systems, cable/channel trays, tubing,



analyzer shelters, etc.
Performing basic design calculations such as JB assignments, tray/channel sizing, MCT sizing, conduit fill, and panel sizing
Preparation and review of cable schedules, as well as physical layouts including Instrument Location Plans, F&G; layout plans, telecom layouts, cable routing, tubing layouts, control room layouts, and material take-offs
Preparation and verification of hookups and installation details
Participation in model reviews and coordination with multiple disciplines
Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., S3D, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Smart Sketch)
Familiarity with SPI
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
