Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before ophthalmic surgical procedures.
- Assist in setting up ophthalmic instruments, equipment, consumables, and surgical trays.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and OT technicians during ophthalmic surgeries.
- Check the availability and functionality of OT equipment before procedures.
- Transfer and position patients safely before and after surgery.
- Maintain OT inventory and coordinate replenishment of surgical supplies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, biomedical waste management, and safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining OT records, checklists, and documentation.
- Coordinate with CSSD, nursing, and other departments for smooth OT operations.
- Report equipment malfunctions or shortages to the concerned authority.
