Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer with strong PostgreSQL expertise and senior-level Oracle Administration experience. The role will support KTLO (Keep The Lights On) and engineering activities for enterprise database platforms while working closely with onshore stakeholders and cloud engineering teams. The candidate should bring hands-on delivery experience from the Indian IT Consulting / IT Services ecosystem and be comfortable operating in a global delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support PostgreSQL database administration and engineering activities across non-production and production-like environments, as applicable.
- Provide senior-level Oracle Administration support, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational health management.
- Handle KTLO activities such as monitoring, incident response, operational support, database maintenance, capacity review, and service reliability improvements.
- Partner with onshore teams for technical discussions, knowledge transition,



requirement clarification, execution planning, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on AWS infrastructure initiatives related to databases and adjacent cloud services.
- Design, build, and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for database and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Create and enhance reusable Terraform modules, manage remote state, support environment provisioning, and assist with infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Participate in database modernization, migration, automation, resiliency, and platform standardization initiatives.
- Document operational procedures, engineering patterns, runbooks, troubleshooting steps, and implementation notes.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn cloud engineering areas beyond core database technologies.
